Hello, i'm MATT

An alternative and relaxed wedding photographer from the Barossa Valley, South Australia
Barossa Valley wedding photographer Matt Webster.

My work favours mood, texture and personality over posed perfection. I work with digital and film to get tones that feel tactile and timeless.

Think grainy blacks, rich shadows, and colours that sit somewhere between fashion editorial and a memory.

I value capturing atmosphere, attitude and creating an honest archive of your day over a catalogue of poses.

When you look back on your wedding photos in years to come, I want you to feel connected to how you REALLY felt.

My aim as your wedding photographer is to put the focus on the people and moments that make your wedding day unique.

I have a deep appreciation for being able to document the important moments in peoples lives.

There's nothing that feels better than getting 'the shot'.

There's a rush that comes from catching a fleeting moment in an artful way.

I'm very much influenced by the definitive nature of film photography and unpredictability of street photography. You have to keep your wits about you.

I aim to capture your day as it happened. Whether your hiding in a cool-room on a 40 degree day, sharing a sneaky tear of joy or letting it all out the dance-floor.

i want to create images that make you feel at home

I use punchy colours, black and white, natural skin tones and a hint of grain in my photography.

I work with DIGITAL and 35mm FILM.

I shoot with a photojournalistic approach to weddings, but love to add an editorial flair during my portrait sessions.

I keep my equipment minimal so I can focus on what's happening around me. It's a major influence on the way I work and the gear I use.
